NICOLA (New International Company of Live Arts) is a not-for-profit, youth-led Charity running since 2008, which promotes positive interactions within and between youth communities through creating opportunity and projects, to take an exploratory journey into the world of arts, including dance, drama, music and fashion, thereby providing an outlet for their creativity.
We aim to address important social concerns and we concentrate our efforts into working with youth with socioeconomic obstacles who cannot afford professional training. We assist their artistic and leadership development, helping them to become productive and inspired individuals. In supporting their personal development, we provide a nurturing environment so they can develop their talents, preparing them to build self-confidence and to find suitable education and/or employment both in the artistic field and outside or to run their own business or social enterprises. In other words, we aim to deliver administrative excellence coupled with a professional approach to performance art and personal development.

We just opened a shop in Putney High street to support our Charity after loosing EU funding due to Brexit.
Our shop is an art Hub where artists can use the space to create and sell at the same time. We are looking to partner with Universities, Colleges, Fashion Companies, while creating more opportunities for young people and artists. We are looking for a Project Manage to help us to transform the shops in a truly artistic space full of community opportunities.
The Project Manager will:
- Advertise, Interview and Recruit intern to cover further positions. Manage them is also an option.
- Research and contact Universities and Colleges (specially Arts and Design) to create partnership with them by giving opportunities to their students.
- Contact Fashion Design Companies to support our project.
- Contact possible shops we could occupy.
The skills required:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a deadline sensitive environment.
- Social awareness.
- Ability to build a trusting relationship.
- Social skills.
- Good manners.
- Etiquette.
- Be able to work on their own and or in a team.
This is a volunteer/intern-ship position, which could provide lots experience before entering the professional world. The intern will have to be committed for a least 3 months, 3 days a week to successfully finalise their work experience and receive a reference letter.
