Your role as a junior account manager will involve many aspects ranging from developing to maintaining client relationships. You can't be afraid to pick up the phone and speak to businesses in order to begin that relationship and you must feel comfortable pitching to and advising senior business people. You will usually begin with a small portfolio of clients and over the following 18 months you will be expected to develop and add to this client base through your own contacts pursuing sectors of your interest.
