Essential Skills:
Communicate and Co-ordinate to ensure presenters, reporters and production staff are fully briefed on programme material
To manage, select and deliver material from newsgathering teams, particularly reporters in the field of output
Work closely with Editors to agree priorities and allocate relevant resources within budget
Oversee teams to produce timely and accurate content for the main stories of the day and lead the coverage of breaking news
To train and develop employees and junior members of the team and provide guidance, support and direction
Manage, conduct and record risk assessments as required and in line with the company security and safety policy
