Role Responsibility

This role calls for an ambitious and determined approach, from a senior leader with an ability to inspire and motivate teams. You will provide strategic and editorial leadership to Country Directors and to a support team in London to deliver quality programmes that have impact. Youll ensure that new developments in media in the themes of Health, Governance and Rights, and Resilience are understood and incorporated through appropriate methodologies into the work of ****** Media Action. You will also lead rapid and effective communications responses to major emergencies in the region. As Regional Director, you will be accountable for making sure procedures for registration and employment, health and safety and managing organisational risk are followed and for ensuring projects are resourced so impact can be measured against agreed objectives. You will have overall responsibility for the work we develop in Asia and for the management of the work, through a team of Country Directors. Leading/supporting development of new work as appropriate as well as oversight of contract negotiations are a key part of the role. A good knowledge of the donor environment in Asia is important.
